Color Pencil Drawing - Eye Cat
67With color pencil, is not always easy to get to our goal, to be loyal to the playback. That is, we succeed in drawing what we want. With the color pencil, the drawing becomes another dimension. After all the color surrounds us. Although I prefer unilaterally black and white drawing art for my favorite. With this drawing i want to prove that without much work, you get the result you wanted!
Cat Eye Drawing
I'm crazy for cats! We have a cat here at home, I mean, usually come home to eat and give us some pampering. But what I like most cats, is how they let themselves grasp. It seems they are more than anyone else. After we give them food and affection. But it's all a case of conquest! They have nothing to do with the dogs, they do so at the expense of a piece of meat. The cat does not. If necessary stays in the same meowing until we give him his meat to his mouth. They only give confidence to those who give them what they want. What subtlety! And hunters that they are descendants of the lion and tiger, also cats, but larger, cats show us the youth, the delicacy. And we like that. Although there are many people who dislike cats, such as my father, I stand for the cats as pets to have as a company on a daily basis.
This color pencil drawing, represents my affection for cats, the feline race, loved by the Egyptians, there at other times ... But still our pets. And I love them! I wanted to draw what fascinates me about the body of cats, their eyes. And so I googled an image of a close up or macro of an eye of a cat. And I finally found one that satisfied me. I began by studying it, looking closely at the photograph. Then I took a pencil and started drawing the outside lines. Soon afterwards I took the color pencils and started drawing the cat's eye. I tried to draw the most realistic way, giving staright and curve lines all the way to draw the hair. It was fun, never used an eraser, though.
Color Pencil Result
I was afraid of what might come out of there, because after all this was my first serious drawing with colored pencils! Yes, oddly enough, it is true that this drawing was my first color pencil drawing, seriously. I say seriously because the only time in my life that I used color was when I was 6 or 7 years. And at that time were not even colored pencils, markers were. And i drew this when i was 29. Using only some regular water color pencils on paper, i learned a lot while doing this drawing, which i only used a few colors.
But it went well, I think I got a beautiful result, this drawing is the size of an A5 landscape, and so got a certain sense of reality. I believe that with practice i can do better, but for now I like the way I am confident, but more the wave of black and white. That yes, fascinates me!
Kind Regards
_David C.

makes me wondering what that cat is thinking about.
This was really cool. Thanks for the lesson.
Very nice drawing indeed! I am more in to black and white myself but I love the curves and softness that this fades in to. How do you upload your drawings? Do you take a photograph or scan them in?
Good to know! Thanks!
Hey David, awesome cat eye!
Not a cat person myself, but this is indeed very well done. The reflections are simply beautiful :)
